According to Baotou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., at present, the second phase of the No. 8 turntable crushing belt system project of Dolomite Iron Mine is under construction, which will optimize the ore production process, improve production efficiency while further controlling costs and reducing energy consumption.

It is understood that the dolomite rough crushing system is an important ore output hub, which has been in service for more than 60 years and has made important contributions to the stable output of dolomite mineral resources. With the development of the times, the rough crushing system has gradually been unable to meet the current production, and many key problems have also affected the improvement of the production efficiency of dolomite ore.

Dolomite Iron Mine plans to build a new pre-crushing plant next to the No. 8 turntable, which is intended to process ore from the main and east stopes and in the future, Dongjiegrad, and the crushed ore will be fed into the existing transportation system through a belt system to ensure the company's raw material supply. The project will change the intermediate link of transportation from railway dump trucks to the central crushing plant, making the production process more compact and shorter cycle time.

Up to now, the 15th section of the corridor in the second phase of the No. 8 turntable project has been successfully installed in place, which also marks that the belt corridor of the project has been fully completed. The length of the corridor in section 15 is 46 meters, the total weight is 70 tons, and the highest point of installation reaches 41 meters, which requires multiple hoisting vehicles to work together. The construction personnel overcame the difficulties of narrow operation area, complex environment, cross operation and other difficulties, and successfully completed the assembly operation of the corridor, laying a solid foundation for the No. 8 turntable crushing belt system project to be put into operation on time.

After the completion of the No. 8 turntable crushing belt system project of Dolomite Iron Mine, the process flow of the original crushing system of Dolomite Iron Mine will be changed, and the railway transportation and inversion process will be reduced, which will not only greatly reduce transportation costs, help save energy and reduce consumption in mine production, but also open up new ideas for technological innovation, realize equipment and technology transformation and upgrading, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of Dolomite Iron Mine.
