The first crawler bucket wheel loader in the national port was officially put into use


Recently, at the 86th berth of the former port company of Qingdao Port of Shandong Port, as the goods at the front of the terminal were dug and transferred to the dump truck by the crawler bucket wheel loader, it marked the official commissioning of the first crawler bucket wheel loader independently developed by Qingdao Port of Shandong Port in China. The implementation of the new achievements is a concrete measure for Qingdao Port of Shandong Port to thoroughly implement the "Comprehensive Breakthrough Year" of Shandong Port, and it is also a vivid practice of "setting new benchmarks and creating new highlights" and accelerating the construction of smart and green ports. In the past, according to the overall layout of the yard and the nature of the goods, some goods needed to be unloaded to the front yard of the terminal, and then the loader was used to load the goods onto the dump truck, and finally the dump truck was moved to the designated yard for storage. The loading efficiency of one loader is about 600 tons per hour, and the fuel consumption is nearly 30 liters, which is inefficient, energy-intensive, and labor-intensive, and the safety risk of mechanical cross operation is high. In response to this situation, Qiangang Company set up a research team to design a new type of loading machine that integrates wisdom and green. By consulting books and materials and conducting on-site research, the technical staff carried out process transformation of the reclaiming and loading mode of the front-line loading operation of the wharf, and successfully developed the first crawler bucket wheel loader in the national port. The crawler bucket wheel loader mainly includes a bucket wheel mechanism, a pick-and-discharge belt conveyor, a crawler walking system, etc.; The equipment is driven by diesel generators for transfer operations, and 380V three-phase five-wire power supply is used for reclaiming and loading operations to meet the requirements of power economy and environmental protection. The intermittent loading is changed to continuous loading, and the reclaiming and loading capacity is 1,000 tons per hour, which is 67% higher than the loading efficiency of one loader, and the loading efficiency of moving and reversing is higher, more cost-effective, and more environmentally friendly. 

After the crawler bucket wheel loader was put into use, the electrified continuous reclaiming and loading operation was realized, the fuel consumption of mobile machinery and equipment was reduced, and more than 10 million liters of fuel could be saved every year, and the economic and environmental benefits were significant. At the same time, the new equipment only needs one person to operate by wireless remote control, which perfectly realizes the separation of man and machine, and effectively eliminates the potential safety hazards of operation. In the next step, Qingdao Port of Shandong Port will further upgrade key technologies such as precision measurement, balanced loading, and information processing in combination with the implementation of the bucket wheel quantitative loading system and the goal of intelligent upgrading, and finally realize the unmanned loading of the front of the terminal.
