The announcement disclosed that Huadian Heavy Industry held the eighth meeting of the fifth board of directors on August 19, 2024, and deliberated and passed the "Proposal on Changing the Name of the Company and Amending the Articles of Association", proposing to change the full Chinese name of the company from "Huadian Heavy Industry Co., Ltd." to "Huadian Science and Industry Co., Ltd.", and the full English name remains unchanged.

It is understood that Huadian Heavy Industry is an important part of the science and industry sector of China Huadian Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huadian Group") and the only listing platform of China Huadian Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Science and Industry Group").

Huadian Heavy Industry said that the name change can better reflect the actual situation of the company's operation and development, is in line with the company's medium and long-term development strategy, does not harm the interests of the company and shareholders, and will not adversely affect the company's production and operation activities.
