As the first sea-rail automatic ship transfer system launched within the scope of Zhejiang Seaport Group and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group, the system empowers production with digital intelligence and helps to improve the operation efficiency, management efficiency and service quality of sea-rail intermodal transportation at Chuanshan Port Station.
In the trial operation stage of more than 2 months, the new system completed about 15,000 instructions, saving about 400 hours of labor time and cost, with an accuracy rate of 100%, opening a new chapter of zero labor, zero error and zero waiting in the process of container car transfer at Chuanshan Port Station.
Transshipment is an indispensable part of the sea-rail intermodal transport business. Containers unloaded from railway trains need to be converted from import domestic trade containers to export foreign trade containers before they can be routinely loaded. In the traditional manual transfer mode, it is necessary to wait for the container to be unloaded into the venue, and after receiving the email, the sea-rail salesman of the port station manually enters the export ship information for transfer. Under the trend of port automation and intelligent development, the port station staff hope to empower the production business with new technologies and solve the pain points and difficulties of low efficiency of manual transfer and possible information entry errors.
After learning of the demand, the IT department of the North Third Division communicated with the information and communication company as soon as possible to jointly develop an intelligent fully automatic system. After several months of discussion and testing, the sea-rail automatic ship transfer system came into being. The system can realize the effect of "one-click direct" information, the freight forwarder enters the relevant export information, and the designated box can be automatically converted into an export box in the system after the information is confirmed to be matched, eliminating all intermediate steps such as email communication, manual input and manual comparison in the traditional transfer process.
Compared with the traditional transfer mode, the new system has achieved three "zero" breakthroughs - zero labor, through direct digital instruction docking with all parties, all the links that previously required manual operation can be automatically completed by the system background, which greatly improves the efficiency of ship transfer and saves labor costs; Zero error, through access to the c-TOS system of Beisanji, all instructions received by the new system can be automatically verified with the reserved information in the original information database, and if there is an error, it will be fed back to the sender in real time for modification, so as to avoid the risk of freight quality accidents caused by incorrect transshipment information, and ensure the safety and controllability of the operation process; Zero waiting, if the goods need to be expedited to catch up with the shipping schedule, the customer can store the transfer information in the system background in advance, and after the container lands in the port area, the transfer operation will be carried out immediately, and the container transfer situation will be tracked in real time, without waiting for manual feedback, which not only improves the operation efficiency, but also eliminates the customer's worries that the goods cannot catch up with the shipping schedule, and further improves the service quality of sea-rail intermodal transport.
