Russian Pacific Railway Coal Train to Port of Elgar
According to recent reports in the Russian media, Pacific Railway has transported its first freight train, marking the first test run of the new railroad line.
The test run was a coal train with 20 open cars from the Elga coal mine in Yakutia to the port of Elga.
The laying of the entire railroad line is said to have been recently completed and it is scheduled to be fully operational next year. It is a single-track line with 18 sidings.
The Pacific Railway transportation route runs from the Elkinskoye coal mine in Yakutia to the port of Elga's.
The report noted that the construction of the Elga port at Khabarovsk Krai Tuguro-Chumikansky Cape Manorsky is underway. The port will begin trans-shipment by the end of 2024.
