China's first 'mine-road-port' joint logistics package project has been implemented in Shaanxi
On September 4th at around 14:00, the whistle of the train station at Caojiahua Yard, located on the edge of the Maowusu Sandy Land in northern Shaanxi, sounded. The freight train numbered 24243, loaded with 3,874 tons of coal, slowly departed for Rizhao Port in Shandong. This marks the official launch of the logistics package project of the joint 'mine-road-port' consortium, led by China Railway Xi'an Group Co., Ltd. (Xi'an Railway Bureau), in collaboration with China Coal Mengshan Energy Sales Co., Ltd. and Shandong Port Rizhao Group Co., Ltd.Reportedly, this project is the first 'mine-road-port' consortium logistics package project in the country, which will open a new logistics channel for coal transportation from the Shaanxi energy base, characterized by 'collaborative efficiency, controllable costs, and stable timing.'As a key high-yield mine in the Shaanxi energy base with an annual production capacity of 18 million tons, the Zhongmei Dahuza coal mine plays a critical role in ensuring energy supply in the East and North China regions. This year, due to multiple factors, including the cyclical adjustment of the coal market, expanding stable export channels for coal transportation has become urgent. In response, the Xi'an Railway Bureau focused on the coal sector, accurately connecting with the transportation needs of the mines, while coordinating with Shandong Port Rizhao Group, China Railway Express, and Yulin Xiangdao Logistics, among other companies, to innovate and construct a comprehensive logistics package model integrating 'mine-side collection, railway trunk line, and port connection,' thus addressing the transportation challenges faced by mining enterprises from the root.The logistics package solution that has been rolled out formed a closed-loop service system covering the entire coal transportation process: in the front-end collection phase, China Railway Express undertook a 87-kilometer truck transportation task to achieve seamless connection from the Dahuza coal mine entrance to the dedicated railway line of Yulin Xiangdao Logistics; in the mid-stage quality control phase, relying on the dedicated railway line of Yulin Xiangdao Logistics, integrated services such as 'warehouse temporary storage, precise measurement, dust suppression, freeze prevention, and professional loading' were provided, ensuring the quality of coal transportation while significantly reducing station operation time; in the back-end trunk transportation phase, the Xi'an Railway Bureau coordinated the resources at Caojiahua Yard to efficiently deliver coal to the two major hub ports, Rizhao Port and Caofeidian Port, through the 'direct vehicle delivery' model.A relevant person in charge of the Xi'an Railway Bureau stated that this project, as a key incremental project of the national 'public transportation to railways' strategy, can directly break the sales bottleneck of the Zhongmei Dahuza coal mine, while further optimizing the transportation structure of 'public transportation to railways' in northern Shaanxi, injecting stronger momentum into the sustainable development of the coal industry in northern Shaanxi.
